HIMMELMAN - Peacefully at Sakura House surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, September 25, 2010. Laurie E. Himmelman in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Rika Himmelman (nee Westra - Sauve). Loving father to Mark Himmelman, Dawn Walker (Glen), and step father to Sharon (Sauve) MacGinnis, and Nancy Sauve. Loved grandfather of Jonathan Himmelman, Christopher Walker, and four step grandchildren. Laurie is also survived by his brothers Doug (Beatrice) Himmelman, David (Judy) Himmelman, brothers-in-law David Westra, John (Sylbie) Westra, and sister-in-law Elsie Westra (Walter). Predeceased by his step son James Sauve (2007), and sister Brenda Himmelman. Friends will be received at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Monday, September 27, 2010 from 7-9 pm, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 1:30 pm with Rev. Ron Watson officiating. Interment in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. If desired, contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or the VON Sakura House would be appreciated.
