Lauretta Elizabeth Johnston

JOHNSTON, Lauretta Elizabeth - Passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at the Woodstock Hospital on Friday April 28, 2017 in her 94th year. Devoted wife and cherished partner of the late Charlie E. Johnston (2002) whom she was married to for nearly 60 years. Dearest mother of Judy Parker of Houston, Texas and her late husband Ken, and Jill Johnston of Listowel. Loving grandmother of Tracy (Paul) Shanahan of Watford, D'Arcy (Amanda) Parker of Boston, Massachusetts, Yvette (Erik) Simpson of Houston, Texas, Sarah (Vedran) Helmuth of London, Laurel (Steve) Anderson of Cambridge and will be forever remembered by her six great grandchildren. Loving sister to Doug (Gwen) Johnston and will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Our family is grateful to Russ Brown for his devoted and kind attention to mother. Friends are welcome to join the family at College Ave. United Church, 22 Wilson St., Woodstock, on Thursday May 4, 2017. The memorial service to honour Lauretta's life will be held at 1:30 pm with Rev. Lloyd Bennett officiating. Visitation with the family will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.
