CLARK, Larry Edward
Larry Edward Clark, a cherished member of the community, passed away on March 15, 2025, at Alexandra Hospital in Ingersoll, after a brief illness. Born on January 9, 1945, in Hamilton, Ontario, Larry exemplified a life rich in dedication, loyalty, and love for his family and friends. He is now reunited with his beloved wife of 58 years, Shirley (2024).
He was a loving and devoted father to his daughters Deborah (Kenneth) Kelly, Laura (Christopher) Lewis, and Pamela Clark, and a proud grandfather to his cherished grandchildren, Jacob (Alexandra), Ryan, Reegan, William, Thomas, Henry, and Emily. He was overjoyed with the birth of his first great-granddaughter Lily. Dearest brother of Ruby Clark.
Larry was predeceased by his wife Shirley, infant daughter, his parents Lloyd and Bernice Clark, and brother-in-law Stanley Benetto. He will be warmly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and a long list of friends.
Larry will be fondly remembered for his stubborn yet kind demeanor—traits that endeared him to many. He was deeply family-oriented, taking great pride in raising his family and creating lifelong memories. Camping trips and visits to the African Lion Safari were among the highlights of his family life, experiences that will remain etched in the hearts of those who shared them with him.
A life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #119, serving as President/Past President for 10+ years, Larry had a profound sense of community service. He spent many enjoyable hours playing darts and calling Bingo, bringing joy and companionship to those around him. His love for reading Archie comics brought him joy, and he was also known as a diligent handyman, always engrossed in various projects around the house.
Larry's unwavering willingness to help neighbors and friends showcased his loyal spirit and dedication to those he cared about. His commitment to building a strong community left a lasting impact that will not be forgotten.
In passing, Larry leaves behind treasured memories and a lasting legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
As per Larry's request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 1-4 pm at the Ingersoll Royal Canadian Legion Branch #119, upper room, 211 Thames Street North, Ingersoll. A Legion Service will be held during that celebration of life from 1-1:30pm. In honour of Larry, donations may be made in his name to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #119, Ingersoll, or to the charity of your choice.
