GALLANT - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Friday January 22, 2010. L. Velda Gallant (nee Baglole) of Woodstock in her 73rd year. Beloved wife of Ronald Gallant for over 53 years. Daughter of the late Andrew and Panzey Baglole. Dear sister of Ethel Ford (Spurgeon), Grace Jeffery (Levi). Loving aunt of Colleen Speijer (Gord), Sandra Zinn (Wayne), Wayne Jeffery (Julie), Marlene Scheltema, Ronnie Jeffery (Deb), Nancy Watts (Jeff Rudy), Lynn Gee (Rob) and survived by many nieces and nephews in Ontario, New Brunswick, Edmonton and PEI and many great nieces and nephews. Sister-in-law to Amy Matheson (Roland), Burt Gallant (Elsie), Vivian Baglole and Ray MacAusland. Predeceased by her siblings Carl Baglole, Fielding Baglole (Dolly), Winnie MacLeod (Duncan), Ruby Birch (Art), Claude Baglole, Creeman Baglole (Helen), Florence MacDonald (Leo), Charles Baglole, Dorothy Arsenault (Ira), Norma MacAusland and by her sisters-in-law Francis Gallant (Lena) and Margaret Wilson (Ron). Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Monday January 25, 2010 from 7-9 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 am.
