SLIK, Klaas - Passed away at the Woodstock Hospital on Tuesday March 13, 2018 four days before his 82nd birthday. Beloved husband of the late Lies "Liz" (nee VanderVlies - Schaafsma) Slik (2017) and the late Lien Slik (Bijl). Dear father of Thea (Hein) VanderKlyn, Nico (Jolanda) Slik and step father of Bert Schaafsma (Lorraine), Philip Schaafsma (Janie), Teresa Hill (Larry), Connie Schaafsma (Randy), Frank Schaafsma, Lynn McKim (Scott), Jim Schaafsma (Deb) and Jason Schaafsma. Loving grandfather of 29 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Klaas is also survived by his extended family in Canada and the Netherlands. Predeceased by his parents; Rens and Trijntje (nee Muys) Slik and by his brothers; Rens (Bartje) and Gerard (Olga) Slik. Friends are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Friday March 16, 2018 from 1-3 and 7-9pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 2:00 pm.
