Kimetha Anne Abbott,
Any person who had the pleasure of meeting Kim Abbott felt immediately embraced by her positivity and warm spirit. Kim was a fiercely passionate woman who nurtured and supported all those lucky enough to spend time with her. She always saw the good in others and had so much love to give for family, friends, and animals.
Her proudest achievement will forever be her family, raised alongside her loving husband of 38 years, Tim Abbott. Kim was happiest with family and this was made obvious by her devotion to her role as ‘Momo’ to her three daughters and son-in-laws, Brittani and Tony, Kayleigh and Jeff, and Chelsi and Reid. As well as ‘Nana’ to her grandchildren Ezra, Carmella, and Arlo. As a family, they have built a life to be proud of with the only regret being that it wasn’t long enough.
Kim, two days away from her 63rd birthday, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020 at Woodstock Hospital. She will be forever remembered by her husband, daughters, and grandchildren who will carry on her spirit through travel, seeking out the perfect plate of fettuccine alfredo, and most importantly being with loved ones.
Kim will also be missed by her sister Keli “Kiki” Deslauriers, her two close relatives Wendy Munro and Kathryne D’Souza and by her mother-in-law Ethel Abbott. Kim will be reunited with her parents Ted and Patricia Folds and her father-in-law Bert Abbott.
A celebration of Kim’s life will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to Woodstock Wellington Animal Rescue and/or a charity of your choice would be appreciated and can be arranged through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519)-539-0004.
