REID, Ken W. - At Sakura House, Woodstock on Friday July 17, 2015 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Ruby (nee Redhead) Reid. Dear father of Gerald Reid, Brian (Tina) Reid, Kathryn (Gary) Dykstra; step father to Don (Nancy) Walker and Debbie Orosz. Loved grandfather of nineteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Dear brother of Norma (Russ) Carey, Roy (Pat) Latham and brother-in-law of Norene (Bill) McCartney and Evelyn (Ken Holtby) Finnagan. Predeceased by his sons; K. Leroy Reid (2007), Scott Reid (1995) by his grandson Dylan Reid, by his great grandsons Alexander and Brandon DeFazio, by the mother of his children Mearle Emma Reid (2014) and by his siblings Jim Reid and Helen Reichhald. Ken was a long time member of St. David's United Church and Woodstock Mens' Probus Club. He was a past member of Woodstock Rotary Club, Woodstock Chamber of Commerce, Woodstock Home Builders Assoc. and the Canadian Restaurant Assoc. and was an employee of Union Gas for over 34 years. Friends are welcome to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Thursday July 23, 2015 from 10:00 - 11:00 am, where the memorial service will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 11:00 am with Rev. Jane Van Patter officiating. Cremation has taken place. A private interment will take place in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.
