Kenneth Edwin Carlyle

CARLYLE Kenneth Edwin - Peacefully, on Thursday July 20th 2017, at the Woodstock Hospital. Kenneth Edwin Carlyle of Woodstock and formerly of London in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Jessie Carlyle (nee Caulfied). Ken passed away the day after he and Jessie celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with family. Cherished father of Judith (Ernie) Dunleavy, Lee Ann (Chris) Huether and Christopher Carlyle. Loving grandfather of Kelly Terry, Kenneth St. Clair, Tyler Huether, Jesse Wilson, Matthew and Katie Carlyle, and great-grandfather of Jade, Zoe, Owen and Joseph Terry, James, Gavin and Emma St. Clair, and Leighton Huether. Predeceased by six sisters and one brother. Kenneth was a veteran of WW II, a member of the Oxford Masonic Lodge # 76, The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #55 Woodstock. He worked with CN and New York Central Railroads. He served as an officer with the O.P.P., was an instructor for the Aylmer Police College, retiring as a Justice of the Peace after 22 years. Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will be held at the Oxford Memorial Park.
