Kenneth Bernard Bankes

It is with great sadness we say farewell to Ken Bankes on Jan. 30th, 2022, after a long struggle with Huntington’s. Ken was born in Woodstock and lived most of his young life in Ingersoll. He was born Jan 11, 1968, to Ken and Theresa Bankes (both deceased). Ken was second born and had a sister Sharon, who at a young age succumbed to Leukemia, also a stepfather, Harry Rueffer (deceased). Many thanks to Uncle John and Aunt Verna for their years of loving support and to Karen and Wilma of Langdon Retirement Home for their kindness and compassionate caring. Ken never wanted for anything as they saw to his every need. If Ken were here to tell you he could not thank them enough for all their kindness. A very special thank you as well to the staff who also became friends at 2100 Units and the Palliative Care team at Woodstock Hospital for their wonderful care. As per Ken’s wishes cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to meet with the family at The Brock and Visser Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004). on Saturday, February 5th, 2022, from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm, where the service will be held at 2:00 pm.
