Keith Moat

August 31, 1946 — March 3, 2022

MOAT, Keith - passed away in his Bower Hill home on March 3rd, 2022, in Woodstock, Ontario. He loved his home, his garden, the deck, and the pool and especially the garage – his beer and smoking haven. Although he was not a demonstrative kind of guy, he loved his boys, Dan, the first-born and Mackenzie, the fix-it guy and their wives, Deanna, and Cindy, always steering his boys in the right direction.  To his step-kids, Megan, Philip, and Jay he was a father, a coach, and a friend. Keith loved his grandkids, Molly, Jemma, Ruairidh, Ben and Sam and was delighted when they would come bouncing in for a visit. Keith was loving and supportive of Melanie and tolerated her myriad of activities. He loved to be at home, but he often ventured out for beer and wings at the Legion or stopped by the grocery store to check out any good deals he could grill into leather. Keith transformed the back yard of Bower Hill from an acre of grass to an oasis of peace and solitude where friends and family love to gather around the firepit. Keith will be remembered by his brother Dennis, the Whalers, the Tea Ladies, his friends Darlene and Harry, the Timberland crew, and the many teams for whom he played and coached. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Keith's life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Woodstock on April 3rd from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. If desired, memorial contributions may be given to the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #55, Woodstock and may be arranged through the Brock & Visser Funeral Home, 519-539-0004.Expressions of sympathy may be given at http://www.brockandvisser.com
