RUDY - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Wednesday, February 24, 2010. M. Katherine "Kathy" (nee Maguire) Rudy of Woodstock in her 74th year. Beloved wife of the late Glenn F. Rudy (1997). Dear mother of Scott and his wife Kim of Kitchener, Steve and his wife Deborah and Shawn and his wife Tammy all of RR# 6, Woodstock. Loved grandmother of Ashley, Brett, Jacquie, Matthew, Alexia, Shantai and Elijah. Dear mother-in-law of Mike Walters of Woodstock. Dear sister of Jane Charette and her husband Ron of Timmins, Rodney Maguire and his wife Raili of North Bay, Doug Maguire and his wife Cathy of Dorchester and sister-in-law of Alva Gloin and her husband Ed of Woodstock. Also survived by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her daughter Kim Walters (2007). Kathy was a longtime member of Faith United Church (Central United) and the Faith United Church Women. She was a member of the Woodstock Curling Club, Probis Club and was past owner/operator of Rudy's Meat Market with her late husband Glenn for many years. Kathy trained as a Registered Nurse at the Woodstock General Hospital where she worked for many years then after retirement she volunteered at the hospital for several years. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Thursday, February 25, 2010 from 7-9 pm and on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Faith United Church, 34 Riddell St., Woodstock on Saturday at 2:30 pm. Interment later in the Presbyterian Cemetery.
