Kathleen Dorothy (Allinson) Angell

ANGELL- Kathleen Dorothy Angell (nee Allinson), 83, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 24, 2003. Born in Orillia, Ontario on March 6, 1920, Kay moved to Woodstock following her marriage to the late Gordon Walter Angell. While Gord was overseas with the RCAF, Kay served her country as a munitions worker. After the end of the War, Kay began her career with the Oxford regional Centre where she worked as a Registered Nursing Assistant and Developmental Service Worker until her retirement. She was devoted in her service to people with developmental disabilities and was committed to ensuring that their rights and freedoms were respected. Like with most things in life, Kay's caring personality started with home. Kay is remembered as a loving and devoted mother and wife who extended her nurturing ways unconditionally to her extended family, friends, and all those in need. Mom/Gramma Kay will be dearly missed. Kay is survived by her son Barry of Ignace, Ontario, daughter-in-law Laurie, granddaughters Samantha, Sarah, and Kaileigh, and great grandson Jaegar; son Brent of Windsor, Ontario daughter-in-law Elizabeth, granddaughters Robin, and Glennis. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Kay's name to either Woodingford Lodge, or Woodstock General Hospital. Visitation will be held at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, Ontario on Monday December 29, 2003 from 7:00 pm to 9:00pm. Memorial services will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 1023 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, Ontario on Tuesday December 30, 2003 at 11:00 am. Arrangements entrusted to the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home (539-0004).
