It is with great sadness that the family of Karl Brunetzky announce his passing at home on Saturday, November 30, 2019, in his 87th year. Karl was born in Hirschberg am See, Sudetenland, and made his home and life in Canada from 1957 onward. Karl will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Wilma (nee Mitterer) of Ingersoll and their children, Brigitte (Brian) Kaufman of Woodstock, Susanne Brunetzky of Vancouver, and Karin (Allen) Olheiser of St. Catharines. Karl was a beloved grandfather to Nathan (Erica) Kaufman, Stephanie Kaufman, Kathryn Kaufman, Lisa Skelton, and Andrew Skelton. He will be missed by his sister Gerti Schweizer along with the rest of his family in Filderstadt, Germany, as well as the multitude of friends whom he called his extended family. A celebration of life/visitation for Karl will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave. Woodstock, ON N4S 8Z4 (519-539-0004). In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that those who so desire may make donations in memory of Karl to the Heart & Stroke Foundation through the funeral home.
