Karen Elizabeth (Bragg) White

WHITE - Gone to be with her Lord at the Woodstock General Hospital on Sunday February 22, 2009. Karen E. (Nee Bragg) White of Woodstock in her 69th year. Beloved wife of John E. "Ted" White for fifty years. Dear mother of Nancy Hayward (Paul) of Scarborough, Brian (Donna) of Woodstock, Kevin (Shelly) of Courtenay. B.C. and Paul (Theresa) of Woodstock. Cherished friend and companion of "Mindy", the family pet. Loved grandmother of Evan Andrea, Erin, Kirsten, Curtis, Kyla, Zachary, Alex, Quaid, Caitlyn, Kyle, Dylan, Tara and Meghan,. She is survived by her father Norman Ewart Bragg of Whitby and by her siblings Sandra, Donna, Phillip, Brenda, Norma, Debbie and Doug. Predeceased by her mother Eva Elizabeth (nee York) Bragg. Karen was well involved in the Christian Community, she knew no boundaries. She attended the Family Church in Woodstock, was member of the "Huff and Puff" baseball league in Woodstock and London, a member of the "sportaculars" (60 year old selects for baseball) in Canada and the U.S., a backer of the local pregnancy crisis centre and a previous survivor of cancer. Karen will be missed by all who knew her passion for baseball and her love for life. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Wednesday February 25, 2009 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 1:30 pm with Rev.
