POOLEY, Karen Jean - Peacefully at VON-Sakura House with her loving family at her side on Friday August 2nd 2013. Karen Jean Pooley (nee Smith) of Waterloo in her 66th year. Beloved wife for over 42 years to Gary Pooley. Caring mother of David (Rebecca) and Lisa (Sam) of Waterloo. She will be sadly missed by her siblings Wayne (Gloria) Smith of Courtice, Diane (Bill) Wall of London, John (Orreen) Smith of Woodstock, Debby (Arnold) Visser of Dorchester, Chris (Andrea) Smith of Woodstock, and sister-in-law of Pam Pooley of Embro along with Karen's nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Andy and Jean Smith (nee Sackrider) and by her brother-in-law Donald Pooley. Karen was a retired veterinarian, and an avid gardener who will be greatly missed by her backyard critters and dog Shelby. A private family gathering will be held to celebrate her life.
