CARTER - At her residence on Monday May 2, 2005. Karen E. Carter (nee Long) of James St., Woodstock in her 66th year. Beloved wife of the late William "Bill" Carter (1997). Dear mother of William and his wife Laura of Ingersoll and James and his wife Rhonda of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of Tyler, Cassandra, Sylvanna and Christopher. Dear sister of Wendy Clowes and her husband David and Ted Long and his wife Karen all of Woodstock Predeceased by her parents James and Wilma Long. A very special thanks goes out to those who aided Karen in her last moments: niece Lisa, sister Wendy and sisters-in-law Sandy and Vicky. Karen was a longtime member of the Oxford County Naval Veterans Association serving as 2nd Vice President in charge of the Galley. Cremation. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (539-0004) on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm where a memorial service will be held in the chapel Thursday at 1:30 pm with Captains Philip and Wavey Birt officiating. Interment in the Innerkip Cemetery. Contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Sunshine Foundation would be appreciated.
