Julie Ellen Cook

November 17, 1952 — June 24, 2024

Julie Ellen Cook, known affectionately as Jules by her loved ones, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2024, at Sakura House, Woodstock, at the age of 71. Born on November 17, 1952, in Ingersoll, Ontario, Julie's warmth and vivacious spirit were a gift to all who knew her.

Julie's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family, friends, and the community of Thamesford, where she was a pillar of strength and generosity. She leaves behind a legacy of love and commitment, embodied by her children, Ian Cook and Corinne (Ryan) Cooney, and her cherished grandchildren, Isabella, Kailyn, and Parker Cook, and Wilson and Natalie Cooney. Julie was the caring sister of the late Jeanne, Nancy, Nora, and Scott, and her memory will be treasured by her many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of friends.

For over two decades, Julie was the proud owner of Eat Your Heart Out Catering, where she was not only a respected entrepreneur but also a mentor and friend to her catering family. Her passion for her work was paralleled only by her love for the people she served, and she will be deeply missed by all who worked alongside her.

Julie's life was a testament to her belief in the power of community. She was actively involved in local events and initiatives, always eager to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Her presence was a comforting and familiar one, and her absence will be felt deeply by those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Above all, Julie's greatest joy was found in the time she spent surrounded by her family and friends. Her home was a haven of hospitality, laughter, and warmth, where memories were made and cherished. Julie's love for her family was the cornerstone of her life, and it is this love that will continue to inspire and guide them in the years to come.

As we say goodbye to Julie Ellen Cook, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a heart that gave so generously. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and her influence will continue to be felt in the community she so dearly loved. Julie's passing leaves a void, but her light remains, shining brightly as a beacon of love, kindness, and compassion.
