WEIR - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Wednesday April 1, 2009. Joyce Weir (nee Dunlop) of Woodstock in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late James Alexander Weir (1980). Dear mother of Catherine Lamb and her husband Brian of Gilford, Bill Weir and his wife Theresa of Woodstock and Eric Weir and his spouse Colleen Figg of Tillsonburg. Loved grandmother of Jennifer, Michael, Paul, Kym, Kerri, Shannon, Ian and great grandmother of Darryl, Noah, Lillian, Mitchel, Amanda, Emily, Erika, Samantha and Will. Dear sister of Gerald Dunlop and his wife Claire of London. Sister-in-law of Jean Dunlop of London. Predeceased by her brother Graham Dunlop and sister Isabelle Gale. Joyce was a long time member of Faith United Church (Chalmer's). She was also a charter member of the Wingate Raiders IODE, and a member of the Woodstock General Hospital Women's Auxiliary. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Friday April 3, 2009 from 7-9 pm. The complete memorial service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 1:30 pm with Rev. Stephen Hershey officiating. Cremation has taken place. Interment later in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.
