Joyce "Mama" (Tackaberry) Schermerhorn

Schermerhorn, Joyce “Mama” – Passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 28th, 2022, at the Woodstock Hospital in her 74th year. Devoted wife of Wayne for 50 years. Loving mother of April Love, Connolly (Kathy) Love and Shannon (Larry) Hofstetter. Cherished grandmother of Josh, Justin, Marisa, and Faith; Amber Alexis and Breanna; Leah, Christina, Laura, Kayle, Wayne, and Katie. Proud great grandmother of Sephira, Sophia, Rowan, Benjamin, Owen, and Rosalee. Dear sister of Lois (late Eldon) Seip, the late BettyAnne Audette, the late Greg (late Anne) Tackaberry, Linda Tackaberry, Reg (friend Nancy) Tackaberry, Bill (Patricia) Tackaberry, Paul (late Heather) Tackaberry, Amy (Jerry) Hughson, Jim (Cecilia) Tackaberry, and Bonnie (Rob) Babin. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Mama was a hardworking woman. She was devoted to her business and her family. Mama was an avid animal lover. She especially loved strays and the ones that needed her care the most. Mama gave the best advice, and was always up for a cup of coffee, a meal, or a big hug. Mama loved her angels, and we loved her. She is our angel forever. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family on Tuesday, August 2nd for visitation from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock. The Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday August 3rd at 2:30.
