SWIECH- Peacefully at the Woodstock General Hospital on Sunday September 13th 2009. Joseph (Joe) Swiech of Woodstock in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (Betty) Swiech (nee Ward). Dear father of Rick (Deb), Dave (Irene Patience), Deb Aspden (Al Lloyd), Ken, Joe Jr., and Tim (Jackie). Loved grandfather of 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Louis Swiech. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Tony and John Swiech. Joe was employed with Laidlaw Carriers and Verspeeten Cartage for many years and was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #55 Woodstock. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004) on Tuesday September 15, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
