Joseph William Huggins

HUGGINS - Joseph William, 79, died peacefully at his home in Woodstock on May 29, 2003. Survived by his wife Jean (nee Lowes); son Gary and his wife Linda of RR#4 Woodstock and daughter Linda Baker and her husband Dennis of Drumbo. Joe will be missed by his grandchildren Jennifer (Huggins) and Sid Vandermeer of RR#4 Woodstock; Micheal and Shannon Huggins of Woodstock and Craig Baker of Drumbo. He is also survived by two great grandchildren Taylor Vandermeer and Cole Huggins. Born August 2, 1923 at Ranleigh Ontario, Joe was the son of George and Annie Huggins. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Lloyd (1988), Orval (2002) and Ralph (2002). Joe was a long-time member and past governor of the Moose Lodge #1141 in Woodstock and was a well-known contractor in the city. He loved his old cars and had them in tip top running condition. Friends may call at the R. D. Longworth Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Avenue Woodstock (539-0004) on Saturday 7-9 pm and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday at 1:30 pm with Rev. Dave Stephens officiating. Interment in New Durham Cemetery. Contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Woodstock General Hospital Building Fund would be appreciated
