DURST, Joseph "Joe" - Peacefully at Sakura House, Woodstock on Tuesday September 25, 2018 in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Grace (nee Ykema) Durst for nearly 50 years. Dear father of Michael (Jackie) Durst and Robert Durst. Loving grandfather of Zachary, Alyssa, Jaydin, Zach, Hannah and Nathan. Dear brother of Rose Stuart and John (Kate) Durst. Joe will always be remembered by Grace's siblings; John (Lena) Ykema, Gary (Wilma) Ykema, Gloria (Adrian) Rodenburg, extended members and his many friends. Predeceased by his son Christopher, by his parents Thomas and Rose (nee Nagy) Durst, and by his brothers; Tom, Tony and Frank. Joe was a long time attendee of Emmanuel Reformed Church, Woodstock. Friends are welcome to join the family at Emmanuel Reformed Church, 170 Clarke St., Woodstock on Friday September 28, 2018 from 10 - 11 am, where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 am with Pastor Peter Burrill officiating. Cremation will follow. Interment later in the Hillview Cemetery.
