PACHECO, José Duarte:  José Duarte Pacheco 68, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 8th 2020 with his family by his side. José Duarte leaves behind his wife Helena Maria, children Francisco José, Marcia, Helder (Ildiko Beres) and Pamela (James Dinsmore) and his grandchildren, Mikayla (Mathew Weber), Dawson, Owen, and Cassius.

José Duarte Pacheco was born in Salga, Sao Miguel, Portugal. He was a beloved husband, cherished father, loved son, brother, brother-in-law, cousin, and adored Vavo, Padrinho and Titi. He was a passionate man, tempered and stubborn; but no one can deny that he loved whole-heartedly, always showed affection for his family and friends, and would have taken the shirt of his back for anyone. Those who were closest to him will remember him for his love of wine, his pristinely kept lawn, and his joy for hosting and feeding everyone. He was a jokester, soccer fan, hard worker (though not the most handy) and lover of a good BBQ, with a guilty pleasure for the “so funny show” (Just for Laughs Gags). He will be missed terribly. Rest easy Dad, thank you for the laughs, the love and the memories. We’ll miss you and love you always, “100 percent.”

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private service will be held for immediate family only. José Duarte will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s cemetery in Beachville, Ontario.
