Jonathen "John" Henry Cornell

Jonathen Henry Cornell, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2023, after a brave battle with cancer. He was born on December 28, 1961.

John was the beloved husband of Cathy Cornell (nee Rockett) for 37 years.  He was the cherished son of Donna Smith (nee Carter). He was predeceased by his loving stepfather, Larry Smith, father Charles Cornell and his brother, Bradley. John will be remembered fondly by his brothers Paul (Denise), Mike (Linda), Dan, and Kip (Katherine), and his many nieces and nephews. He is survived by his stepmother, Joni Cornell.

John retired in 2019 from Cami, Woodstock, ON, after a fulfilling 30-year career.  He had a deep love for animals and was an outdoor enthusiast.

Cremation has taken place, and a private family memorial will be held later.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada or Sakura house.  His courage and strength in the face of adversity were an inspiration to all who knew him.
