Jonathan David Skillings

Family and friends of Jonathan David Skillings, sadly announce Jon's passing on May 20th, 2008. Jonathan, age 31, resident of Thunder Bay was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. Jon is survived by his son Michael, aged 10, Great Grandmother Gladys G Clubine, age 92, his grandparents Norm and Ruth Skillings, his mother Valorie Zeien,and father Wilfred Skillings and wife Clare; brothers Jeffery, Jerimie, Matthew and his wife Candace, Adam Skillings, step-brother Sean McFarland, and step-sister Christine and husband Nick Curci. He is also survived by nieces Kassandra, Abigail and Rachel, nephews Cameron, Owen, and Markus. Also survived by a very close family friend Penny Laker and her daughter Teri Lynn who called him "Uncle Jon." He is survived many loving Aunts and Uncles and their families throughout Canada and the United States. He is predeceased by grandparents Bernard E Zeien and Devona G (Winney) Zeien, cousin Stephen L Smith, and niece Emma E Skillings. As an expression of sympathies, memorial donations to the Children's Wish Foundation in memory of Jon's cousin, Stephen L Smith or a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated. For those who wish to make contributions on behalf of Jon's son, Michael Skillings, a J.D. Skillings Memorial Fund that has been established through TD Canada Trust Bank.
