Jonathan Leslie Franklin Cowie

Cowie, Jonathan Leslie Franklin 2000-2018 It is with great sadness that the family of Jon Cowie of New Maryland, NB announces his passing on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the age of 17. Born in London ON, he was a son of Edward Cowie (Penny Miller) and Jill (nee McKerral) Cowie (Brian Ellick). Jon was known for his sense of humor, he was quick witted and loved to joke and tease. A great writer and illustrator, he spent many hours gaming with friends and was meticulous with everything he did, doing well in school. He was a dedicated Wendy's employee never shying away from picking up extra shifts when he was needed. He loved cats especially Buds, Judy and Hopps who he grew up with. Jon will be deeply missed by his parents; brothers Matthew, Lex and Stephen, maternal grandmother Diane McKerral, maternal great grandmother Rita "Kerri" McCurdy, aunts, and uncles; Michael (Rachel), Patricia (Paul), Ann (Tim, Paul), Linda (Scott), Doug (Darlene) and Jacqui (Glen) as well as several cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Eric and Rita Cowie as well as his maternal grandfather Gerald McKerral. Cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving friends at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004), on Saturday April 14, 2018 from 1 to 2 pm where a celebration of life will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm.
