John Piper Murray

MURRAY John Piper – Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of family on January 25th, 2023, at  St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener, ON.  Beloved husband of Evelyne Lord.  Loved father of Sarah Murray (Akos Hoffer), Jason Murray, JP Murray (Laurie Bourne) and stepfather to Natalie Loveless and Stephanie Loveless.  Loving grandfather of Mika, Lukas, Andras, Tessa and James.  Dear brother of Margaret Murray (David Schell) and Dorothy (David) Gruggen. Predeceased by his parents John Piper Murray and Dorothy Olive Murray (nee Mills).  Piper taught biology and general science at the Ingersoll Collegiate (Ingersoll), Glendale Highschool (Tillsonburg), Woodstock Collegiate Institute (Woodstock, ON) for 31 years. Cremation has taken place. A Gathering of Remembrance to honour Piper will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Avenue, Woodstock from 2 to 4pm. If desired memorial contributions to Canadian Mental Health Association Oxford County (CMHA) or charity of your choice would be appreciated.  Expressions of love and sympathy may be placed and viewed online at www.brockandvisser.com.
