John Benjamin Wilken

WILKEN, John Benjamin- Passed away peacefully in his sleep at Caressant Care in Woodstock on Tuesday May 19th, 2015. Beloved husband of Marilyn (nee Chilton) Wilken for over 28 years. Loving father to Johnny Wilken (Twyla Fulop) and Marjorie Berry. Dear stepfather to Darlene Hussey (Trent), Cheryl Berezoski, Brenda Berezoski, and Kevin Berezoski (Jessica Boufford). He will be missed by his grandchildren; Dina, Courtney (Karl), Lyndsey, Michael, Matthew, Craig (Amanda), Angela, Jessica, Tyler and great grandfather to Hayden, Dawson, Logan and Kaylee. Cherished brother-in-law to Betty Wilken, Larry Clark, Jean Chilton and survived by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Amsey and Amanda (nee Miller) Wilken; brothers Earl (Doris), Floyd (Eileen), Carl, by his sister Jean Clark and by his granddaughter Tammy Wilken. John was a retired farmer from the Wallace Township since 1986. He enjoyed his retirement making beautiful works of art with wood. Many have enjoyed his craftsmanship. His talent and memory will live on with all of those who have had the opportunity to own a piece of his work. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Thursday May 21, 2015 from 2:30 - 4:30 and 7-9 pm, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 11:00 am with Joe Daniel officiating.
