SIMSER - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Friday, September 21, 2007. John A. (Jack) Simser of Woodstock in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Marjorie E. (nee Bailey) Simser for over 60 years. Dear father of Linda (Sam) Walker of Dorchester and Brian Simser of Cambridge. Loved grandfather of Rob (Kelly) Walker of Woodstock, Trista Walker Konigshofer (Mike) of Dorchester, Travis & Taylor of Florida and great grandfather of Austin, Kyle and Julia. Dear brother of Jean Girard of Maidstone, Laura Vincent of Florida and Ronald Simser of Michigan. Predeceased by his sister Helen and by his brother James. Jack had been a letter carrier in Woodstock for over 25 years as well as a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #55, Woodstock. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Sunday 3-5 pm. The funeral service will be held at Old St. Paul's Anglican Church, 723 Dundas Street, Woodstock Monday at 11:00 am with Rev. Bruce Genge officiating.
