John Arthur Saundercock

SAUNDERCOCK- Peacefully, at Sakura House, Woodstock, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday September 29th 2009. John A. Saundercock passed away in his 63rd year. Beloved husband of Linda L. Saundercock (nee Van Rietvelde). Dear father of Lisa Acchione and her husband Paul. Loved grandfather of Carter and Cooper Acchione. Dear brother of Lynn Peck and her husband Wayne. Cherished son of the late J. Clifford and Kathleen Saundercock. Loved son-in-law of Ross and Violet Hazen of Frogmore. Also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, inlaws, and many close friends of John and Linda. John was a police officer for the City of Woodstock for over 26 years, a bylaw officer for over ten years, and upon his retirement worked at Anderson's GM delivering vehicles. He was a member of the King Soloman's Masonic Lodge #43 A.F. & A.M., Woodstock. John enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and any type of card game. He will deeply missed by all who knew him. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave. Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Friday October 2, 2009 from 2:30-4:30 and 7-9 pm. The complete funeral service will be held in the chapel Saturday October 3, 2009 at 11:00 am with Rev. David Snihur officiating.
