John Christopher Power

POWER - At his home on Saturday December 6, 2008. Pastor John C. Power of RR# 1, Woodstock in his 58th year. Beloved husband of Claudette P. (Theriault) Power. Dear father of Matt Power and his wife Ann of Woodstock, Rose McEwan of Saskatoon, Emily Tucker and her husband Jason, Celine McLaughlin and her husband Adam and Celeste Brotzel and her husband Joe all of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Celeste and Avery McEwan, Zayne and McAuley Tucker, Kate Power, Denim Brotzel and two other grandchildren on their way. John is also survived by his parents Doug and Sylvia (nee Schuster) Power of Saskatoon, and by his siblings Terry Power of Vancouver, Gary Power (Patricia) of New Jersey, Patrick Power (Gina) of Calgary, Michael Power (Norma) of Edmonton, Anna Horlick of Saskatoon and Kevin Power of Toronto. He will be dearly missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. John was the Pastor of Life Church, Woodstock for four years and touched the lives of many through his ministry in Victoria, Saskatoon and many countries around the world. His ministry changed the lives of those who knew him. A service of remembrance will be held at Life Church, 547 Athlone Ave., Woodstock on Sunday December 14, 2008 at 10:00 am. A private interment has taken place in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, contributions to a memorial fund set up at Life Church would be appreciated and may be arranged through the church or at www.lifeinyou.com The service will be broadcast at www.lifeinyou.com if you are unable to attend.
