NYKAMP - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Friday March 7, 2003. John Nykamp of Chieftain St., Woodstock in his 60th year. Beloved husband of the late Janet Nykamp (nee Baatje) 2001. Dear father of Angela Geerlinks and her husband Laverne, Jeff and his wife Carissa and John all of Woodstock and Alex and his wife Christina of Tavistock. Loved grandfather of Nicholas John, Courtney Wynona, Morgan Sierra, Mitchell Geert, Jacob Christopher and Jocelynn Janet. Loved brother of Dr. Hank Nykamp and his wife Beverley of Cambridge, Willie Spencer and her husband Hugh of Guelph and Albert Nykamp and his wife Lysje of Drayton and son in law of Wympje Baatje of Woodstock. John will be sadly missed by his companion Sandy Siegner of Woodstock. John was an active member and Elder of the Emmanuel Reformed Church and had been a longtime member of the Woodstock Oxford Rotary Club. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 539-0004, Monday 7-9pm and Tuesday 2:30 - 4:30 and 7-9pm. The complete funeral service will be held from the Emmanuel Reformed Church, Woodstock on Wednesday at 11:00 am with Pastor Joe Veltman and Rev. Roeland Hartmans officiating. Interment later in the Innerkip Cemetery. Contributions to the Woodstock General Hospital Building Fund, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Make a Wish Foundation would be appreciated.
