John William Munro

MUNRO - At the Stratford General Hospital on Wednesday May 31, 2006. John William Munro of RR # 1, Embro in his 58th year. His hearty laugh will be sadly missed by his wife Betty and their family Mike and Rhonda, Greg and Amy. Part time Clown, full time Grandpa to Brett, Calvin, Logan and Camden. Brother of Fred, Lynn and Family. Missed by Betty's family in the Chatham area. Good times will be remembered by many close friends. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Janet Munro and sister Mary Elizabeth Courtney. John farmed in the Embro area and served on many agricultural organizations and service clubs. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, curling, snowmobiling, going to the cottage, traveling, coached hockey and ball for many years and was a Past Master of the Embro Masonic Lodge. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family for a celebration of John's life at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 539-0004 on Saturday June 3, 2006 at 11:00 am with Rev. David Ketchen officiating. Interment in the North Embro Cemetery. At John's request and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Embro Fire Dept., Knox Presbyterian Church Embro, John Jensen Play Hockey Fund, Canadian Cancer Society of a charity closest to one's heart would be greatly appreciated.
