MacGregor, John Perkins - Died suddenly on September 7, 2010 at the cottage. He is survived by his wife Marjorie (nee Pfeffer), daughter Mary Francis and grandsons Michael and Peter Francis. He was predeceased by his daughter Susan in 2000. John graduated from the University of Toronto, Victoria College before embarking on a teaching career at W.C.I. in Woodstock for 34 years. John had a life filled with community involvement, he was an active valued member of the churches he attended and was Past President of the V.O.N. His life was full of exotic travels, revealing a great curiosity in the world and the desire to share his experiences. He will be deeply missed by his family and by the people whose lives he touched along the way. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Church of the Epiphany, 560 Dundas St., Woodstock on Saturday September 11, 2010 from 10:00 - 11:00 am where the complete memorial service will be held in the church on Saturday at 11:00 am with the Reverend Canon Richard Jones officiating. Cremation has taken place. Interment later in the Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound. Contributions to the Woodstock General Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be arranged with the Longworth Funeral Home, Woodstock, 519-539-0004.
