John Edward Hunt

HUNT John Edward -Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Woodstock Hospital on December 11th, 2019 in his 69th year.  Beloved husband of Nancy Hunt (nee Burnet).   Loving father of the late Mark Hunt (May 2, 2010), Carla (Stephen) Cumming and father-in-law of Meghan Coletti. Loving grandfather of Katelyn and Weston. Cherished son of Doreen (nee Abel) Hunt and the late Charles Hunt (1999). Dear brother of Brian (Heidi Reiss) Hunt. John was a strong advocate and volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society and its many fundraisers including the annual "Relay for Life" in which he tirelessly gave his time for. He served as a Regional Representative of the Ontario Board of Directors for the Canadian Cancer Society. John was the recipient of the Governor Generals Sovereign Medal for Volunteerism in 2016. As per John's wishes, no formal service will be conducted. A private family interment will take place at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Hamilton at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
