HORNYAK, John - At his residence on Monday January 9, 2012. John Hornyak of Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock and formerly of Alice St., Woodstock just shy of his 76th birthday. Beloved best friend and companion of Joan Harper for over 40 years. Dear father of Mary Hornyak, Susan Hornyak both of Woodstock and Jerry Hornyak and his wife Linda of Burlington. Loved grandfather of Carly and Lauren. Predeceased by a brother and a sister. John played soccer in the Woodstock and London areas and was an employee of Thomas Built Buses for over 30 years. Friends are welcome to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Thursday January 12, 2012 from 7-9 pm ,where the complete memorial service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 11:00 am with Fr. Szwagrzyk officiating. Interment later in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Oxford.
