HAPPL, John R. - Passed away with his loving family by his side at Sakura House, Woodstock on Thursday January 26, 2017 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Nancy M. (Nee Gough) Happl for over 37 years. Dear father of Megan Happl of Queenstown, NZ, Sean (Sarah) Happl, Aaron (Jessica) Happl. Loved "Papa" of Kaitlyn, Riley, Sophia, Callista, Selena, John and Isaac. Also survived by his children Monica Scott, Randy Happl, Ron Happl and their families. John was a well known businessman. He was the founder of Cutt-Rite Machines Ltd. John and Nancy travelled the world in their retirement. Some of their best times were spent with family and friends at the cottage on Wakomata Lake. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and all around outdoors man. John was also a past member of the German/Canadian Club for many years. Friends are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Thursday February 3, 2017 from 2:30 - 4:30 and 7-9 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 11:00 am with Fr. Rick Dales officiating. Cremation to follow and interment later in the Hillview Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to Sakura House or the Children's Wish Foundation would be appreciated.
