John (Jan) Dykstra

DYKSTRA, John (Jan) - Peacefully, with his loving wife, Maureen, by his side on Sunday December 10th, 2017 at the Woodstock Hospital in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Maureen Dykstra for nearly 50 years. Caring father of Andy (Jennifer Flynn) Dykstra, Mary (Ali Mir) Dykstra, Jeannie (Patrick Domagala) Dykstra, Sharon (Jason Ficht) Dykstra and Tom (Jody Ross) Dykstra. Cherished grandfather of Isabelle, Will, Maggie, Dane, Amelia, Ben, Greta and Katie. John is also remembered by several in-laws, nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by his parents, Bauke and Hiske Dykstra, and his brother Andy Dykstra. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family on Wednesday December 13th, 2017 at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) from 1:00pm until 2:00pm. Following the Visitation, Funeral Liturgy will take place in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Bernie McCartney as Celebrant. A Private family interment to take place at a later date at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
