DONKER, Jan "John" - Gone to be with his Lord, surrounded by his loving family at Sakura House, Woodstock on Thursday July 7, 2011. Jan "John" Donker of Woodstock in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Jentje "Jennie" Donker for over 56 years. Dear father of Gerrie Donker (Helen) of Dundas, Christine Renkema (Albert) of Embro, Shirley Renkema (Ralph), Carolyn Axiotis (Dean) all of Woodstock and Sharon Sandink (Shawn) of Mississauga. Loved grandfather of twenty two grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Dear brother of Geert Donker (Annie) of Netherlands and brother-in-law of John Bergman (Janny), Willy Van Marrum (Louwe), Luke Bergman, Tieme Bergman (Mary), Frank Bergman (Nellie), Hank Bergman (Heidi), Teena Bergman, Frieda Bergman and Corrie Bergman. Predeceased by his brother Harko, sister Ali, brothers-in-law Jans Bergman, Bert Bergman, "John" Harm Bergman, Frank Van Marrum and sister-in-law Lise Bergman. John and his wife Jennie have been longtime members of Maranatha Christian Reformed Church. Friends may call at the Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, 735 Frontenac St., Woodstock on Friday July 8, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at the church on Saturday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Dirk Miedema officiating. Interment in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.
