DAVIES, John Henry - Passed away at the Woodstock Hospital on Monday February 27, 2017 in his 93rd year. Beloved partner of Thelma Morris of Wales. Proud father of Kim Quigley and her husband Gord Kruger and Sandi Walker and her husband Paul. Loved grandfather of Russell (Kelly) Quigley, Leah (Eric) Paulsen, Haydn (Kimmie) Carlin, Lindsay (Gerry) Raymond, David (Becky) Walker. Cherished great grandfather of Peyton, Brooklynn, Kaeden, Adley, Silas, Colin, Evan and Kaitlyn and is survived by his nephew Darren (Joanne) Wilmshurst and his children Alex and Tamsin, and by his niece Ceri (Cameron) and her children Sophie, Alex and Max. Predeceased by his sister Nancy (Norman) Wilmshurst. John, a proud Welshman, served with the Royal Navy during WWII. He believed it was a privilege and an honour to educate/teach youth. Having taught at Central Senior Public School, Huron Park Secondary School, Embro and several other small towns in Ontario. Friends are invited to join the family for a time to remember and reflect on John's life at Sally Creek Golf and Bistro, 190 Fairway Rd., Woodstock on Monday, March 20, 2017 from 6:00pm-9:00pm.
