John David Young, born on July 5, 1962, entered this world full of life and promise. He passed away peacefully on January 21, 2025, in Woodstock, Ontario, leaving a profound void in the hearts of those who loved him.
John was a man of simple pleasures, often found immersed in his beloved hobbies. His passion for CB radio and radio-controlled cars brought him immense joy and forged connections with friends who shared these interests. He was known to spend countless hours tinkering with his models, creating miniatures that mirrored his vibrant personality. Yet perhaps none warmed his heart more than the affectionate companionship of his beloved Jack Russell terriers, whose playful antics never failed to bring a smile to his face.
Family was the cornerstone of John's life. He is survived by his devoted mother, Marian (nee McCabe) Young, who nurtured him with love and support throughout his journey. He shared a special bond with his brothers, Stephen, Scott, and Richard, who created a lifetime of cherished memories together. John also took great pride in being an uncle, generously sharing his time and love with his nieces and nephews, Tyler, Kyle, Caileigh, Kassidee, and Aaron, who will remember him for his kind heart and playful spirit.
John was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Young, in 2006, and his sister Andrea, in 2023. The loss of his dad marked a turning point in his life, but John continued to carry forward the lessons and love imparted upon him by his father.
As we remember John David Young, we celebrate a man who embraced life with both hands, who cherished every moment spent with family, friends, and his four-legged companions. His laughter, warmth, and passion will forever echo in our hearts, reminding us to cherish the small joys and connections in our own lives.
