John "Jack" Wesley Courtney

December 4, 1923 — April 24, 2006

COURTNEY - At his residence on Monday April 24, 2006. John "Jack" W. Courtney of Caressant Care, Woodstock and formerly of Princeton in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Irene B. (nee Magee) Courtney for over 60 years. Dear father of Fred of Woodstock, Bev and his wife Joan of Princeton, Carol Dykstra and her husband Clarence of Woodstock, Lynne McDougall and her husband Chris of Princeton, Anne Schubert and her companion Don Jackson of Brantford and Peter and his wife Janice of Woodstock and father-in-law of Denis Schubert of Paris. Loved grandfather of ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Dear brother of Frances Cowan of Princeton and brother-in-law of Pat Magee and his wife Anita of Muir and Irene Magee of Princeton. Predeceased by his sisters Helen Stark and Kathleen Batter, sister-in-law Jean Racknor (Bob) and by his brother-in-law Jack Magee. Jack was a lifetime member of the Princeton United Church where he had served as a Board Member for many years. Jack lived in the Princeton area his entire life where he and his wife Irene farmed for many years. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 539-0004 on Wednesday April 26, 2006 from 2:30 - 4:30 and 7-9 pm, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 11:00 am with Rev.
