COOPER, John R. "Jack" - Passed away peacefully after a short but courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday, December 9th, 2014 at Sakura House, Woodstock, surrounded by his family. Survived by his beloved wife Joyce (Campbell), loving family; Carolynne (Renaud Saint-Cyr), Darwin, James (Nicole Plante) and sister-in-law Helen Batten. Jack will also be greatly missed by his cherished grandchildren; Gabrielle, Jean-Samuel, Marc and Tianna as well as many relatives, friends and acquaintances. Jack was a lifelong farmer, member of the Oddfellows Lodge and played goal for Lakeside C division League 1950. Friends are invited to join the family for a graveside service on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 2:00pm at North Embro Cemetery as well as a celebration of Jack's life on Sunday, December 14, 2014 from 2-4pm at the Knox Presbyterian Church in Embro, ON. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society, Sakura House or the Salvation Army would be appreciated and may be arranged through the Brock & Visser Funeral Home, Thamesford Chapel 519-285-2427.
