John Douglas Collver

Collver - At his residence on Tuesday November 11, 2003. John Douglas "Doug" Collver of Nesbitt Cr. Woodstock in his 62nd year. Beloved husband of M. Lyn Collver (nee Couse). Dear father of Sheri Collver of Kingston and Shawn and his wife Hannah of Woodstock. Dear son of Ruth Collver. Loved brother of Andrena McCallum, Helen Davis and her husband John all of Otterville and Beth Caverly and her husband George of Mt. Elgin. Dear brother-in-law of Robert A. Hewitt and Paul Couse and his wife Donna. Doug is also survived by his nieces and nephews and their respective families: Robb & Heather Hewitt, David, Trish, Dylan and Damian Hewitt; John, Bernadette, Justin, Eric and Tyler Hewitt; A.J., Matt and Aeryn McCallum; Ron, Corry and Shauna Davis; Chris Davis; Amy and Aden Davis and her friend Paul McKie; Ryan and Collver Caverly; Robert, Irma, James and Donovan Couse and David, Sandra, Joel and Jeff Couse. Predeceased by his father Ronald T. Collver, beloved sister Yvonne Hewitt, mother-in-law Edna Couse, father-in-law Murray Couse, and brother-in-law Joseph W. McCallum. Doug was a lifetime member of the Oxford County Naval Veterans Association, and a member of the Oxford Fish and Game Friends may call at the R. D. Longworth Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Avenue Woodstock (539-0004) on Friday from 2:30 - 4:30 & 7 - 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at St. David's United Church 191 Springbank Ave. N. Woodstock Saturday at 11:00 am with Rev. David Woodall officiating. Interment following cremation in Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. Contributions to the Oxford County Naval Veterans Association, Sunshine Foundation or a Cancer Research charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
