John William Byers In his 94th year, at Victoria Hospital, London, on Thursday August 9, 2012. Beloved husband for 65 years of the late Marguerite (Pratten) Byers. Loving father of Marcia (late Robin) Armstrong (Andrew Payer) of Ottawa and David (Donna) Byers of London. Proud Papa of Heather (Andrew Rivers) and William Byers (Alison); and Allison, Christine & John Armstrong. Great grandfather of Henry Timothy Rivers. Predeceased by his brothers Victor and James Byers. Survived by sisters-in-law Betty and Alice Byers along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends and relatives at Harland B. Betzner Funeral Home, 177 Dundas Street, Thamesford, on Friday from 7 - 9 pm where funeral service will be held on Saturday August 11, 2012 11 a.m. Interment at Robin's Hill Cemetery. A reception will follow at Crumlin United Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the church or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
