John passed away with his family by his side on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at 82 years of age. Beloved husband of Elizabeth of almost 56 years. Dear father to Lorraine (Len) Siderius, Lucy (Joel) Hewson, and Sarah (Craig) Soulliere. Greatly missed grandpa of Patrick, John Jr., and Craig Jr. Brother of Michael. Brother-in-law to Kathleen, Roger, Myles, Sheila, Sallie, and Robert. Much loved uncle to many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
Predeceased by his parents George and Winnifred Bond, his brothers Richard and David, sisters-in-law Annette and Christine, brothers-in-law Dennis and Tony; as well as his niece Theresa, and grand nephew Seth.
If you had ever met John Bond, you would know exactly who he was and what he stood for right away. A man with a huge heart, he held his family at his core. Renowned for his paper plans, and his 25 years of Sunday School bus driving, John Bond wished everyone the best, but had no time for ridiculousness.
The Family would like to express their appreciation for the staff at Sakura House for all of their excellent care. If you desire, donations to Sakura House would be appreciated in lieu of flowers. Visitation will take place on Saturday April 19, 2025, from 12 noon- 12:45 pm followed by a funeral service at 1 pm all held at Brock and Visser Funeral Home (845 Devonshire Ave., 519-539-0004).
