BIRCH, John Joseph Albert - Peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, August 20th, 2015. John Joseph Albert "Albie" Birch of Woodstock was in his 84th year. Beloved husband and best friend of M. Winnifred "Winnie" Birch (nee Perry) for over 59 years. Cherished father of Sylvia (Frank) Calic, Sharon MacGillivray, Sandra (Jeff) Webb, Darrell (Charmaine) Birch, Norman (Anne) Birch, Paul Birch, Richard (Jess) Birch, Wendy (Sean) King and Shawn (Chris) Birch. Loved grandfather of Stephen, Tyler; Cheryl (Shawn), Jonathan; Brendon, Cameron and Ben and great grandfather of Chelsea and Jackson. Dear brother of Marion Tidd and Reg Birch. Albie will also be lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Milfred and Sophia (nee Gallant) Birch, sisters Theresa Sullivan, Amy Eldridge and by his brother Earl Birch. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004, on Sunday, August 23rd, 2015 from 2-4, 7-9pm where the funeral liturgy will be held in the chapel on Monday, August 24th, 2015 at 2pm.
