ADAMS, John Alfred - Died peacefully on Friday, March 4th, 2016 at University Hospital at the age of 73, with Dian, his loving spouse of 31 years by his side. Predeceased by his mother Lillian Pembleton and father John Byron Adams. He leaves behind his sister Bernice Gallagher (Jim), their children and families, as well as his daughter Laurie and her family. He will also be sadly missed by his brother in law Mark Lemieux (Jackie Morin), their daughters Chloe and Olivia, and sister in law Lynn Lemieux (John Tkaczuk). John will be fondly remembered by so many close and special friends, too numerous to name but they know who they are. John enjoyed a career of 41 years at the London Transit Commission. His hobbies, all lovingly shared with his beloved Dian, included vintage cars, motorcycles, trips with Gold Wingers and his great passion for the shooting sports at Crumlin Sportsmen's Association and Oxford Fish & Game Association. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 12 - 1:00pm at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home, Thamesford Chapel, 177 Dundas St., Thamesford, ON where the memorial service will be held at 1:00pm. Reception to follow in the Beaty Room. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses from UH for treating John with great care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of John are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Association. Personal condolences may be sent at www.brovkandvisser.com
