Johanna Marie Streef

STREEF, Johanna Marie-  Passed away peacefully on  Friday January 29th 2021 at  Woodingford Lodge Woodstock.  Anna-Marie Streef (nee Boele) formerly of Oxford Centre in her 100th year.  Born in Holland, she immigrated to Canada in 1956 where she and her husband farmed in Oxford County for years, founding Streef Produce Ltd., and spent many years serving the community at the Woodstock farmers market.  Beloved wife of the late Jan Streef (2009).  Loved mother of Peter (Anna), John (Lena), Albert (Cathy) and Jacob “Jack” (Janna) Streef.  Cherished grandmother of 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews and family in Holland.  Johanna was the last surviving member of her own family.  Predeceased by her son Martin Streef (2008), her daughter-in-law Cory Clack-Streef (2007) and by several brothers and sisters.   A private funeral service will be held with interment taking place at the Oxford Centre Pioneer Cemetery in the spring.   If desired, memorial contributions to the Mission to Haiti would be appreciated and may be arranged through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Woodstock (519-539-0004).
