Johanna "Anne" Geertruida Maria (Oosterveer) Utting

UTTING, Johanna “Anne”   Passed away after a sudden illness at London Health Sciences Centre (University Campus) on Wednesday July 21st 2021 .  Beloved wife of Thomas “Tom” Utting.  Cherished daughter of the late Jacob and Wilhelmina Oosterveer.  Predeceased by her brother Jack Oosterveer.  Survived by her sister-in-law Claire Westley.   Loved aunt of Monique (Bill) Vail, Evan Oosterveer, Brian Oosterveer, and Amanda Oosterveer (Gus), and great aunt of Jessica, Alyssa, and Will Vail; Jack and Eden Oosterveer.  Anne immigrated to Canada with her brother and parents in 1949. She graduated high school and went to work at the Public Utility Commission. She worked as a cashier and retired from the Utility as Secretary to the General Manager. Anne enjoyed sports like softball, volleyball, broomball and curling but her main passion was golf. Anne was a longtime member of Oxford Hills Golf Club (Mount Elgin Golf Club). Every summer for over 35 years Anne would enjoy family camping trips to Port Burwell Provincial Park. After retirement winters were spent in Florida to extend her golf and biking outings.  Friends and relatives are invited to join the family Sunday July 25th 2021, from 3-6 pm at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock.  A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church 1420 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock on Monday July 26th 2021 at 11:00 am.   (Due to COVID, space is limited, and guests are required to RSVP in advance at the funeral home website).  Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.  If desired, memorial contributions to Holy Trinity Catholic Church would be appreciated.
